I am currently cycling my 75 gal tank w/ aprox 90 lbs live rock and 10 red algae hermitt crabs & 1 maybe 2 emerald crabs(don't know if the second one even made the trip w/me) I also have a turboflotor 1000 skimmer in sump and a 4" DSB seeded w/ 10lbs of live sand.
I am having trouble reading the amonia part of the test kit. I says to look at the chart and cross the PH and Temp to get the toxic levels of amonia for those conditions. My ph is 8.2 and temp is currently 79.6 so the chart tells me that the toxic level is 8.8. (if I am reading it right) The amonia test gives me a reading of 0.25. In the instructions it has an example with an equation that involves multiplication, this is where the instructions are unclear.
Can anyone tell me what I am supposed to do or if I am doing this right?
