Sea Swirls on 12" Wide or 55 Gallon Tank?

Has anyone used Sea Swirls on a 12" wide tank, such as a 55 gallon? Is the tank wide enough to handle the 90 degree rotation of the Sea Swirl?

Yeah, they make a 1/2 inch "stubby" model for tanks like that and they are the bomb! Work great!

I have the 3/4in on my 55 with no problem. I love it!

I use two of the 1/2" stubbies on my 15g sps tank. They are mounted on the back and shoot to the front. I use the Y nozzles which breaks up the current some. But the main thing about seaswirls is that you can use different sized pumps as the motion is not dependent on flow. I use about 325 gph each on mine which is at least 200gph less than their max rating if I remember correctly.
