Ok, I got these bad boys about a week and a half ago (tigertail cucumbers). They hit the sand, crawled under the LR, and that is the last I have seen them. Where in the he## are they. Geuss they are still alive. Hope so anyway. Anybody else have this same experience with this species.... Thanks ahead of time for your valuable input.

I know that whenever I have been diving or snorkeling, I often will look under rocks for anybody living there, and I have found cucumbers there many a time. I don't have any in my tank, but it seems likely based upon my experiences that they stay hidden under your rock quite a bit.

Hey, if you were blind, soft, totally defenseless, and named after a food then you would hide under a rock too.

Check in the tank after the lights have been off for awhile, mine are always out at night and hiding during the day.

I did not see mine for nearly 3 months then one day I caught sight of one. I kinda know what to look for now. I see one every week or so.

Ben explained it exactly. I have two tiger-tail cukes and a red/black hawaiian cuke in my 100gal tank. The red/black can go weeks hiding in the rockwork without showing himself. But the tiger-tails come out every night to mow the sand. I can see both of mine anytime shortly after lights-out until the morning.

They are quick to scoot back into the rockwork as daylight begins.

I haven't seen my cukes since I put them in my tank like 2 months ago. Mine kinda blend in with the rock though cause they have a texture that looks like a rock. I'm assuming they are still alive but I will look more when the lights have been off.

I put my tiger tail in my tank in March or so. I had just given up hope on ever seeing him again and the very next day (last week) I saw him. Haven't seen him since. They do like it dark.
