question about a naso tang??

I just love the looks of these fish, but don't really want anything bigger then 9 or 10 inches long. Do they actually grow 18" Whats the size that everyone has???

I have seen some fairly big Naso's come in from shipments to my LFS, but no larger than about 12" or so. But on the other hand I do know a guy with a 600g that has 2 Blue Spot Naso's that have grown from about 4" when he got them 4 or 5 years ago to at least 14" now. And they eat like pigs!! At least a head of romain lettuce every 2 days plus regular frozen food.

I have a blonde naso that I got when it was about 2.5". I has grown to about 4 inches in the 8 months I have had it.

They are gorgeous and I was disapointed as well when I found out they grow to 18 inches. My LFS had a gorgeous one, but I wouldn't buy it. They probably sold it to someone with a 30g instead.

I love them too. I have a 400 g tank but did not want to buy Naso tang. I also don't want to buy a Sailfin tang either. The LFS here have them for sale here so often which make me feel sad for them.
A friend of mine have a Naso in a 180 g tank. He ran into corals all the time and knock pieces of the corals off.
