In a very heavily skimmed tank (38 gallons with a EV-150). Stong lighting, 400 watt halide 6500k, and actinic. It is directly under the halide, though 12" under water surface. Medium-strong water flow with wave maker.
It's receded when I moved a few months ago. Though it's regrown over the receded area by about 50%. All in all, it's doing really well. I heard before I got this red goni that they are the type that do well for long-term.
I've also seen that the green types may fair well if kept in groups of more than one, such that the tentacles of adjacent specimens touch when opened fully.
