Those Seachem products works perfectly okay. I used to use them before I got my reactor.

They were just not cost effective foe me - mainly because prices in New Zealand are very high for Seachem products.

I have read that because a chleated form of calcium is used that you need to use the Seachem calcium test to measure the total level of calcium in the tank. I've no idea how true that is.

Chris s,

I hade had the same issue. I dump it in my corner overflow so that it has to pass through the overflow, sump, possibly the skimmer pump and skimmer, baffles and then return pump before being returned to the main tank where the tiny particulates might be swallowed by a fish or land on a coral. It seems to work ok. Part of my problem has been the temperature of the RO/DI water that I was trying to dissolve it in. (too cold)

I've had the same problem with getting the Reef Builder to dissolve. I use cold water as well. I let it settle, dump the cleaner mix in the tank and the bottom dregs in the sump.

First of all merry christmas everyone.Ok here is my problem,I have a 55g reef with 60lbs of lr and about 45lbs of sand.I started out using the two-part B-ionic and didnt care for it at all. Then I started dosing kalk and I dont care for it.My PH goes up and down and I cant seem to get my calcium to level out.Anyway what I was wondering is if using the seachem route would be more my speed.I was thinking of using the reef advantage calcium with the reef builder.ANY THOUGHTS???
