I amthinking on upgrading my current lighting with 2 400 watts 10,000k MH and 2 110 watt actinic vho's. This would go onto my 75 gallon. Does anyone know if this would be too much light?
not in my eyes its not, as long as you can keep the temp in a respectable range. The "rule of thumb" is 400w per 2' of tank, if you're planning on keeping SPS's.
I have 2 400W metal halides and 2 PC 96 watts on my 90gal. It is definitely bright but most of the corals adjust. Some of the softies don't like it and I just try to find some shade for them.
