Metal Halide VS Acrylic

How Hot can the top of my Acrylic tank get?

It a 6 foot 225g and I have a 400w in the center where there is no feeding hole?

Im just trying my new M/H setup out the bulb is not that far from the tank in that area maybe 4"

BTW its a 1/2" top

My guess is that it's gonna melt, lose the top and possibly raise up the light so it wont get splashed. Good Luck!
