I have a quick-connect adapter for my Spectrapure unit. You can see them on their site. I place the RO unit in the sink, and hook it up as needed. When I'm done, I just slide the connector of, and put the RO away. It seems a bit pricey up front, but is very convenient.

If you have a larger apartment with its own laundry room, you can add a Y-adapter and shut-off valve to an existing connection, and mount the RO on the wall, or something similar.

The ones we have from Aquatic Reef Systems are available with a faucet adaptor, a hose adaptor, or a piercing saddle valve - your choice.

You should be able to get similar fittings from any of the RO/DI manufacturers.

or you can try what i did.... if you have a water heater and the room to mount it by the water heater, put a tap on your cold water pipe and put the drain on the relief line and your set...and it's permanent....no swapping from sink to R.O

I caused a small leak (kinda on purpose) in the main connector under the sink and complained to my manager. In the meanwhile, I went out and bought a tee connector so that I could hook up my RO/DI unit with ease. My manager came in and connected all the plumbing for me. hehehe

Matt,

I bought a 3-stage Dolphin from AquaFX a year ago and am very happy with it. I looked around their website and called the sales number. I spoke with the fellow that built the unit. He talked me out of some things (some of which were more money)and into others (that were less money). I planned to put my RO/DI is in the basement over the slop sink. The faucet there is threaded, so I ordered the screw on attachment with my system.

Whatever attachments you think you need, they have seen it before. Give them a call and get some ideas from them.

I just used a hose adaptor and screwed a waterbed adapter into the faucet after you remove the aerotor. 3 minutes after you buy $5 worth of parts
