I am looking at buying some Live Rock and was wanting some suggestions on where to get it. I haven't been impressed w/ live rock since Florida Rock went bye bye. I have seen some auacultered Florida Rock but didn't know if it was worth it or not.
I am looking at buying like 45-50lbs right now - Thanks.

The florida rock I have seen tends to be dense, bouldery sturr which ends up costing a lot more per volume, even when it's cheaper by pound. The best prices I have found for rock has been through ffexpress.com. have known a number of people who have ordered from there without disappointment. Have even scrubbed some myself when it came in, seems like good stuff. I would check them out, but see what other people have said about other places, too.

The Florida rock from
www.gulf-view.com

www.tbsaltwater.com

Is more dense but it does have much more life on it than any south pacific live rock sold. It also comes in any shape you desire, I have many shelf peices in my tank,

Aside from having the most live critters it is the ONLY rock sold that is aquacultured and has zero impact on the reefs.

If reefers do not support dealers that aquaculture live rock and tank raised animals our selections will dimenish as bans will be instituted because we as hobbiest are desroying the reefs.

Speak with your pocketbooks and pay a little extra today or you may have no choice tommorrow.

Freshwater species are almost all captive breed, with more being breeed everyday,

Saltwater still relies on 90% imported from the wild. With breeders just now getting monetary support rather than just moral support.

I am not saying do not buy a wild species just do some research and if the speicies you want is being captive breed ore fragged, spend a little extra and support the people who are insuring our hobby will be here for many years to come.
