Hey, I got this mushroom (purple) rock about 16 months ago, and the things are taking over my tank. Just now I was sitting, watching the fish swim by and all of a sudden this ribbon of smoke starts rising from around my herd of mushrooms. To best describe what it actually looked like, it could be compared to a lit cigarette sitting in an ashtray in a relitivly calm room except the smoke (for lack of a better word) was a brown color. Looking at the bunch now, one of them has its mouth wide open and looks spent. I've also noticed (weeks back) that the base of some of my mushrooms gets really big, like it swallowed a golf ball or something. I'm thinking that somehow this MUST have something to do with the massive amounts of these things I'm getting in my tank, I just need someone to confirm it.Thanks for your help.
