Crabs and Xenia

In the past I've had problems with hitchhiker crabs bothering buttons, anemonies, snails, etc. A year or so ago I got some Xenia started. This stuff looks real good but multiplies much faster that any aptasia I've ever seen. I usually flush it down the toilet every weekend. What I've noticed is that while I see crabs quite frequently, they never seem to bother anything. I was wondering if they could be munching on the Xenia and that's keeping them satisfied?
Anybody else have a similar experience?

I don't have any experience shipping corals and I understand that Xenia doesn't ship very well anyhow.

I can't believe you flushed the xenia down the toilet! You could make frags and take them back to your lfs for store credit and someone else could enjoy them.

Problem is some LFS don't take frags..or don't issue credit..and very quickly no one wants it cause everyones got it.

I just paid 24.95 for a small, two-stalk pulsating xenia at my local lfs. I'm tickled to get it. Surely you can get lots of credit for your frags.

so dude.. you should be selling frags to the LFs for $5 a frag, they can sell em for 12.95 a frag.. everybody's happy! Why isnt this happening? Why can't i get a nice cheap Xenia frag... Everybody's flushing Xenia.. Where's MY xenia?? I WANT SOME XENIA!

That's right. I sold Xenia frags to the two LFS's in town till everybody who wanted any had some, now they don't want any more. Any of you guys who want some, come get it, otherwise down the drain it goes. Honestly, it's a hell of a lot worse than aptasia!
Now back to my original question, do you think crabs eat the stuff so they don't bother anything else?
