prizm skimmer

I bought a prizm hang on skimmer Friday.(29g tank) It is loud! Sounds like a cappucino machine. Does anyone have experience or advice on setting it right? Should I run it 24/7 ? Is there any way to wrap it or insulate it or something to keep it quiet?

It sounds like you might have gotten an old unit with the old propeller in it. If that's the case, the company that makes it will send you a new propeller for it.
