Any suggestion on Oceanic sump conversion?

I haven't seen one in person, but I can get a 75 reef ready oceanic with 40 gallon sump. Are the sumps glass? How hard are they to convert to bare sump with protein skimmer?

From what I've seen, it's just your standard acryllic trickle filter. Not sure how easy it would be to rip the guts out though.

Oceanic is now doing actual sumps of the type that are popular now in addition to their trickle filters. They had brochures t MACNA, maybe your LFS can get you one. AFAIK, they are the same heavy-duty glass construction as the tanks, with the usual sump bulkheads, partitions, etc.
