All of this aside. Many people have enough money to build gigantic reefs. I live in South Florida. Many homes go unnoccupied for 10 months at a time. But their reefs still live, thanks to good old servicemen. These servicemen keep these reefs as they see fit. Their livelihoods depend on it. They pass their information to us so we make less mistakes. We benefit, some of us are or will become these servicemen, some are hobbyists. Either way, there are resources, and one is the internet. Before you bash someone out of ignorance (or self-righteousness) Help them out with the dumb questions.....save the semantics when dealing with wild caught/tank propagated. Do you want this guy's animals happy and healthy, or would you rather you shine your self-righteous ego? I say help the animals! They never said anything to offend you....all they need is proper TLC and feeding.....

Hey Mouse,
Get over your self. Please, at least try to learn a little grammar and spelling before you get up in someone else's grill.
It sounds to me like you have penis envy over the large tank.

The tank looks small because it is small, thats 25 gallons. Its what i would call my learning tank. You see i didn't want to spend ages reading books alone so i bought a small tank and was just very carefull not to fill it with anything i didn't know about. The more i fill it the more i learn.

Now you can sereously say that someone who has the stocklist mentioned above, allong with propagation tanks full of frags. And they dont know about pods.

Absolute crap, that propagation tank is his sump. Those corals were never propagated, they were reclaimed from the 300 gallon tank listed above. All of those fish BTW died because the tank blew up. And as i said erlier it was 10mm glass.

If that hadn't of killed them then im sure ICK would have on the introduction of his last fish, a Powder blue.

Just the sheer insensitivity towards the animals that he wished to keep. The ignorance of their specific needs and total disregard for ensureing a happy existance. And all because he wanted a beutifull display. It was a sick collection, and to me showed that this individual doesn't really care about what he wished to keep, and was more concerned with trying to cram an example of everything he saw in the LFS into one tank. And was his LFS letting him oh $$$$$URE they did. I suppose i should be just as angry with them. But i cant ignore the fact that this must (and i hate to say it) be an educated mans tank. The money involved is too great for a passing whim of anyone but the wealthyest. So you have someone who is ignorant, with a vast sum off money, and an LFS who would sell him just about anything. Sounds like allot of fish are going to die to me.

I have asked him before if he would shut up read a few books and come back when he has an education. But no, a £7000 investment and he hasn't even bought a book. I dont know a single book that doesn't deal with pods. Let alone having a complete library that doesn't deal with them.

He's just full of lies, and i was convinced that he only comes here to boast. Now that he has nothing to boast about because his entire tank minus fish resides in his sump. he's decided he should get educated, so he's going to come here and ask stupid questions. Stupid for someone who has spent £7000 odd on a tank. untill he feels the tank is worthy of boasting about again. I doubt this thing had even started to grow macro's yet, and we all know how tricky algie can be.

Sorry if i went overboard here, but this gentleman just went too far for me. Hopefully this guys going to get a book now, because theres far too much to learn just from the internet, and its a bit late to learn when you allready have these guys to look after.

2 Picasso Triggers
1 Pinktail Trigger
1 Black spot angel
1 Flame Angel
1 Lemon Peel Angel
1 Coral Beauty
1 6" Naso Tang (lipstick)
2 Regal Tangs (1 is 8")
2 Yellow Tangs
1 Purple Yellow tailed tang
1 Sohal Tang
1 Clown Tang
1 Coral Hawkfish
1 Marroon Anenome fish
1 Neon damsels (5")
5 blue/yellow damsels
4 green Chromis
1 Blue devil damsel
1 Copperband
1 Bluestreak cleaner wrasse (3 years old for all you anti cleaner wrasse folks out there)
approx in excess of 100 other inverts including hard & soft corals including home propogated acropora, ritteri anenome, carpet anenome growing daily from 8" to nearly 2 foot in less than a year

Just the fact that he has two picasso triggers should tell you he's a gimp. You can add that to the list above. The only reason why they weren't fighting was there probably wasn't the room.

I just cant see a single thing he's done right.

If im wrong then wheres Tony to dispute any of the facts i mention above. There perfectly reasonable points, but if you read his past posts i doubt he would listen anyway.

My point is its too late, all the fish metioned above are dead. And with the state of the questions i dont trust him with anymore.

Hence my suggestion of get someone else to do it, theres just too much to know and too much responsibility here.

Mouse, I think the idea here is to just answer his questions. If you have that big of a grudge then just ignore his post, thats all. Sometimes if you have nothing nice to say its better to say nothing at all.

JMO, I have no grudge on anyone here!

I simply couldn't believe Tony actually had the tank in the first place. That's why i asked him to post a picture.

SPC, PO, not sure if you guys are behind me on this, but i just got fed up with the lies. If someone wants help then they should at least have the dignity to be honest about their level of compitence so that anyone who should wish to answer may give the most appropreate solution.

This guy was just too much. And i felt that any advice was wasted on him anyway. The big picture here was someone who wished to bluff their way through. Not a case where a few points had been over looked.

Ok, so i get a bit frustrated with situations sometimes, but you know i like to help really. Maybe i should keep my mouth shut, but honestlty, i was lying awake at night thinking about this guys tank. And i guess id been stewing about it for some time.

I swear if Tony Quimm can give a reasonable explanation why any of the points i raised in any of my dissagreeances is unfounded. Then i shall remove it and opologise. But as it stands, it looks to me as if someone was making it up as they went allong. Im all for pioneering fish keeping, but not like this, theres just to many mistakes for one guy to make all of them.

Probably why his tank blew up, you see he's just got it all wrong. I told him to try a book ages ago.

You can just imagine it.....

"Damn hair algie, take that!!!!!....."
