stupid icecap question

Wll I just got my icecap retro kit, and have the harness that connects the end caps, but is there supposed to be a harness so you can plug the darn thing in? Shouldnt I have gotten this harness in my order or is that sonmthing else you have to order?

The AC power connections are part of the large harness you received. They are the Black/White/Green wires mixed in with all the lamp wires. You should have also gotten an AC power cord and some wire nuts to connect to these wires coming out of the connector.

The small connector on the other end of the ballast that you are looking at is for control purposes only which you don't need to worry about.

Don't feel bad, I did the same thing.

It's been 7 years, but I recall that when I received my icecap retro from Champion, I had to go to home depot to buy some grounded three-prong cords to wire to the icecap harness. This is probably what you are missing.

You may also want to pick up a lighting timer while you are at Home Depot. And some extra Southdown if it's available in your area ;-)
