looks good - I like what you did with the rockwork. Alot of starfish though. What are you feeding them all ? I would think that its going to be hard to get anykind of critter population going with 3 in a 37.

Good job so far-

the two linkas came from my fish only tank when i made the conversion had the large red one about a year the small yellow one about 41/2 months actually i never feed them at all they seen to do alright just eating off the glass and rock the sand stirrer ive had about two months he feeds on the organisms in the sand bed but he is sometimes seen on the glass

I am currently using 2X55 watts power compact from marine depot oone white one blue bulb but i just fininshed building a new relector from aluminium (the kinda used for roofing valleys aboout $6 for a 14 inch x 10 foot piece) this will stop the light escaping through the hood and also allow me to add another 2x55 watts setup for a total of 220 watts

I think the retrofit kit i bought was the realux model but they have good pictures at this website so you can match it up with the one on my tank pretty easy

Or does anyone think i should go with 175 watt metal halide instead and if so tell me the name of some good retrofits and where you got them

Ditto on the rock-scaping... it's top drawer.

Look forward to seeing more pics... as soon as you upgrade the camera

I'd stay away from tangs for a tank that size. You'll have to (and hate to) get rid of him when he grows.

How did you do that kool cave on the bottom?

i found a nice piece of flat rock and then used some round pieces on each end this takes some expiermentation to find the right pieces for each side This rock had an overhang on front so i used a scrap piece under the overhang for stability
there is a smaller cave to the upper left of this which cant be seen because the condi has taken up residence in it either he likes the overhang or the water flow in this area because he refuses to move
the second cave was formed with another large flat rock which a split to size with a hammer i used the remainder to form a kinda micro cave which is also hard to see because of picture quality and the fact that a rock anenome took up residence in it

Tangs are definalty out for such a small tank. They really love to swim and in nature defend large areas.

How about some colorful polyps (zooanthids), xenias, green star polyps, soft branching corals like a colt. Where are you in PA? I am near Philly and have some nice green zooanthids with orange centers, pom-pom xenias, colt frags, ect.. if you are close send me an email.
