o.k i'll try to be as short as possible. 1 month ago removed and added variuos coral. added second 175w. m.h. to my 50g . monti in top of tank for several months doing excellent! then after 2nd light, monti turns from dark brown to white.three weeks gone by, still white, not dead just white. also hair and cyano out break, tank is looking pathetic have been doing ten gal. w.c. just not improving. but my concern at this moment is, will the monti (digita) recover, posted ques, on my ro/di unit to see if i'm adding something through the makeup all my par. temp;80 alk;10dkh ca;400 phos;0 nit;0 this sucks! any sugg?

Any chance that another coral is sending out sweeper tentacles and attacking the monti?

In the meantime, I would get some carbon running and set the monti about halfway down in the tank.
Doubling the light could have been the reason, and new corals that you have added may be playing some chemical warfare.

New strong lights or quick temperature increases can cause a digitata to bleach. In my experience once this happens they don't recover.

IS the whole frag going white or is it the tips. When my montipora is growing fast the tips turn white. Im sure this isnt it but i thought it may be a gamble.
