Hi,

I know this may be a vague question, but I was wondering if I'm in for a mini cycle after re-arranging some rocks last night.

I had to remove my flame angle last night. I've tried to catch the SOB for over 3 months with no luck. He took a liking to my Elegance and nearly killed it. So - I had to remove him/her.

Since I couldn't catch it (barbless hook, trap, food in bottle, etc) - I got mad and removed the rocks to make room and then got it out.

Only problem is now I have done so much damage to the existing rock work, it will not be the same. In fact, some rocks had sponges on them, etc. that I had to rip apart

to remove the rock...

So - I'm wondering what could happen. I'll go home tonight and make some water up, but I feel it may go through a mini cycle with some of the die off?

I can prepare 30 gallons - but it will not be ri/ro water. I can deal with any minor algae for a short period of time. I can make another 30 gallons of ri/ro this weekend and do another water change...

Never again will any type of angle go into one of my tanks with lps...

My first exp at a major mistake. Guess it had to happen sometime

Anyway - thanks for any clues has to what I could expect.

Have a good one!
