Ok.... The last couple of days i noticed that my sand is getting some brownish greenish color to it, is this algea??
I took my white sandsifting starfish back to the LFS, beacuse i think he was eating all the life out of my sand bed, but since he has been gone i really dont have a sandsiffter that would probably fix the problem...i have Astrea snails and Margarita snails but they dont seem to touch this stuff on my sand.

What could be the cause for this sudden growth of algea (if it is algea)?
and what would be the best thing to fix it?

Thanks
GF

and Nassarus snails....

Also i would imagine it will take a bit of time before the tiny fauna and infauna creep back to poulate the DSB. They will actually help turn over the sand too. The Queen Conhes BTW are real cool. wierd eyes
