All the LFS' in town got their first shipment in two weeks today. I have been very good at monitoring my water, but do not beleive I will get any spike in ammonia because out of 20 Lbs. of LR in my 10 gallon, 7 of it is from an established tank. 5 of 6 Astreas I bought are doing well (one got caught in a powerhead), as well as my Blue-Legged Hermits, in fact I am trying hard to grow more algae for them to eat.
I want to buy a fish. I think Firefish are adorable, but there are some low-flow areas on my DSB that seem to collect a bit of detritus.
Would a small Scooter or Bicolor Blenny be a better idea? Will a fish like this help stir up the DSB? What about a Yellow-Headed Jawfish?
Am I moving too fast (tank set up on the 16th of Dec.) or am I correct in beleiving this tank won't cycle without a waste-producer?
Any help would be appreciated, you guys are too good to me!
