Hey guys....has anyone used this or know someone who has? Saw an ad in FAMA & took a look at their website. What have we heard? Good, bad....?

It really depends on you tap water quality. It's not good if you have hard water, requires more frequent filter changes. Either way, I would say that an RO/DI system would give you water that is more pure. However, I have one and love the fact that it does not produce any waste water. I also add two TWP after the Kold Steril filter.

I run my tap water through a polyfilter about 18 hours (more or less) before adding to the tank. I still have an algae problem, though, so don't know if it helps!
Since my tap water comes from a limestone aquafer I prefer not to "strip" it of all its granduer; it is chock full of calcium and bicarbonate hardness! Anyway, that's MY choice; critters seem to thrive as long as I'm keeping the algae at bay!
