Janet, you don't need green water for baby brine shrimp. If you feed them to your tank within 12 hours of hatching you don't even have to fortifiy them with selco or selcon.
If you're talking about growing the baby brine to adult stage, be prepared for dismal results.
I can't find live adult brine shrimp anywhere around Ontario Canada so I grow my own, but it's labour intensive and the drop out rate is high.
I have evolved through several stages as I learned and experimented and have a page of my endevours on my web site about raising the brine. The only thing different is that I'm now experimenting with feeding them home grown phyto-plankton that I started with DT's that I had on hand.
The direct link to the page is: Raising Brine Shrimp
Thanks lots for the help. I buy adult brine for my seahorses and was under the impression I needed green water to grow them after hatching.
I will check out your info. Thanks again!
Janet
