Ok,

Did what Harrison said, and I found a big green metallic looking crab with red eyes, could this have done it.

My first thought on this is - bristle worm. Underside of rock (favorite BW hideaway), little calcium bristles break off in the skin - heavy duty irritation and swelling.

For future occurences - place the effected part in very hot water - as hot as you can stand - if you received any sort of toxin, it will begin to break down in very hot water. The soak the part in vinegar (calcium bristles will dissolve in vinegar).

Oh yeah, seek professional medical advice if your finger blows up like a balloon

The link was forbidden to me. And the pic doesn't show up. Brad Pitt though, huh? Not my type. How 'bout Mel or maybe Darren Daulton?

I knew a nine-fingered veterinarian that was working in a barn when a bull got loose. He jumped up on a wall and climbed up to the rafters. When he let go, his wedding ring caught on a nail and took the whole finger off, just a bit more than the picture shows. This guy had morphine in his truck, though.

That's actually quite common. Just one more excuse for boys not to wear their rings

That was nasty, Ernie. Not quite dmm disease though.

when I click your link, a pic of Brad Pitt shows up. If Pitt ever grows out of my hand, I will have to do some home amputation.

You should see a doctor without delay. Purple isn't a good color- purpura or vascular compromise.

M. marinum would take several weeks after the injury to show up. It is easily treated fortunatley.

Hi,

Well I havent went to the doctor yet, but the color of my finger is looking much better, but very irritated still, the swelling is down some to. I think it was one od those 12 inch bristle worms in my tank. I dont think the crab I found would have done this, I left him in there he looks cool with those big red eyes and two large claws.

Thanks all for the advice, I hope it keeps getting better, if not I will go to the doctor in a couple of days.
