Me and my new Sump

I am in the middle of putting together a new (my first actually) sump and am unsure of a good return pump for it. It can't be too expensive but it has to be able to push 3 feet.
I have heard good things about the Mag Pumps. I was thinking about the 5, or 7, but I'm not sure about the pressure.
If anyone has a favorite, or likewise one they hate, I would really like to hear about it.

You'll never go wrong with a mag.

The first thing you need to do is calculate the flow you need. The rule of thumb is 10x total capacity per hour. Once you have the flow calculated go to flow chart and look for the closest over that flow and at the height you need to push. For example, if you had a 55 and needed to push two feet the Mag 7 would be ideal. Keep in mind that you need to add 1 foot of head for every 90 degrees. I avoided some head loss by using tubing instead of ridgid PVC on my returns.
