percula hosting an anenome

I have a tank raised percula is there any chance of him hosting a condilactic pink tipped anenome?
Mean while both are being feed brine shrimp. The percula seems to want to hang out with the damsel I have and dominate.

Only if he wants to! MY clown (tank raised) takes to everything, but it takes 2 weeks or so before he is comfortable to go near it. You'll see him dash near it or through it then shake like crazy, building up his skin protection if he decides to.

I completely disagree that captive bred clows are less likely to take to an anemone than wild caught. I have purchased 3 seperate captive bred ocelaris clowns, and all three of them took to my xenia, which was basically the only soft coral I had.

My Perc never took to an anenome, buy my tomato clowns love my bubble anenome, it only took them about 10hrs to get buddy buddy with it.

Many anemonefish will bond with an anemone supplied for it even if it is not a natural host,except for some real picky species like skunk clowns. Percs are known to be somewhat picky. However,Ihave seen many posts here about their percs entering a condy.

You also must be aware that a condy is not a host anemone,nor does it come from waters with anemonefishes. It has a prodigious sting and will sometimes eat your clown. Some clowns even get lesions or bacterial infections from living in a condy.

You can try it,but I wouldn't suggest it. I would first suggest an anemone that is at least from the Pacific/Indian Ocean. Like a Bubbletip. Not it's usual host,but hardy and often accepted without incident.
