Just checked my Alk. and Ca. Calcium is still at 380. Now Alk. is down to 5.6Dkh. Im dripping Kalk 24/7. Should i be still adding the Reef builder To keep the alk up?? I thought Kalk would keep both levels in check.

IMO, absolutely. I would add the DkH buffer as needed to keep the alk up to where you want it.

For what its worth, I have found the use of Bionic 2 part Alk/Calcium to be a sufficient, easy to use, and reliable additave for mainting a good balance between calcium and alk in the reef. You have to be a chemist to do it any other way (though I imagine you could get a better result if you are talented enough). Good luck.

I was going crazy trying to keep my Calcium & Alkalinity levels right. I would get one where I wanted it & the other would get knocked out of whack. I have been using ESV B-Ionic 2 part for one month and everything has been perfect. Best part is, it's easy.

I was using Seachem Buffer and I wasn't testing closely enough and knocked the alk a bit high. Might give it a try.

Well I bought another test kit for Alk. The first kit did not come with a dropper. So I used one that i had. Come to find out, my dropper was dripping too big of drops!!!

The new test kit read that i have a Dkh of 11.2 Have been dripping Kalk now for about a week, and my coralline has taken off like crazy.. It's a little more work,but well worth it.(IMO)
