Until you've actually seen a 9" fish, let alone a sprint swimming tang trying to swim in the confines of an aquarium....
Then you will be sad..:-( and always looking for new bigger homes...
I've not kept the two species you speak of. I attempted an Achilles thinking I had learned something from my other tangs in the three years I kept them.
I wouldn't try it again unless I had Terry Siegels tank, or at least his experience.
When your tank is mature, I would possilby go for a Kole, (or possibly a Chevron), and a Purple, (or a Yellow, not both). A convict tang is another really good candidate, but not having had one, I am basing that on reading, and not sure what to pair it with.
