Making a refugium out of a filter???

Ok... I am thinking of turning my Emperor 400, into a refugium (might as well use it for somthing right!), but since i am clueless on how to do this, i need some help!!!

Has anybody done this to there filters? And what do i need to have to turn it into a refugium?

Any ideas or help will be GREAT!!

I have one like the Emperor 400 on my 7 gal tank, it's some other brand and smaller, I'm not using it as a refugium, and I'm not using the filter media either, but I am using it for extra water circulation, tube worms and some other weird creatures that like the dark has taken up residence, kinda like a cave type refugium, I bet if you added a small light it would work as a refugium.

Worth a try!

You'll probably want to throttle back the flow through it though.
