Boy stephane, I think you may be out of luck.

I've been around the board a while, and I don't think anyone here lives that far up north on NY. There is someone in northern Vermont, but I'm not sure where exactly you are and if that would work for you.

Hm. I can't think of anyone else. I'n down by Albany and I believe I am close to you as we get. Sorry. Good luck and welcome aboard.

I'm thinking I could meet you in Lake Placid some weekend, but that wouldn't work if we are talking about live critters. I'd have to wait around for the delivery and then drive 3 hours and by the time I got there the Whiteface would be closed.

I'm right here! If you want to come down I'll give you some sand critters. I don't have much, but I could give you a half dozen or so brittlestars, bristleworms, and whatever other micro critters are in my sump. I also have some sargassum and caulerpa prolifera as well as a bunch of various corals I'd like to get rid of.

I'm in Addison County, in the town of Bridport, west of Middlebury, VT. Drop me an email at [email protected].

Later, Al

There are two approaches at the border-

1) Tell the nice folks at customs everything you are bringing in. You may have to pay import duties on some items, some you will need a paper trail for, and others you may not be allowed to bring in at all.

2) Don't ask, don't tell. Even if asked, don't tell.

Reminds me of a Stephen Wright joke:

When I was crossing the border into Canada, they asked if I had any firearms with me. I said, "Well, what do you need?"

Stephane,

I'm in Burligton, Vermont. About 40 min. from the border, and would be glad to help if I can. Fishfarmer is fairly close as well (about another hour south) but it sounds like he may have some goodies for you that might just make it worth the trip. I've seen his tanks and they are absolutely beautiful! Mine is brand new and I'm afraid I'd have nothing to share with you, but am willing to help if possible.

Be very careful with bring live critters across the border. I had a friend who got caught with corals/fish without proper paper work, he lost the corals and got a huge fine

Just my 02 cents worth

I think http://www.aquariumpros.ca was looking into sell a kit in Canada but I'm not sure if they ever got any in.
