Well, Flex PVC is made out of PVC so I still use PVC cement and purple primer. ;-)

Only thing I have found with Flex PVC is to make sure the cut end is square cut and very clean. You also have to hold it in for a longer time period to allow it to setup properly.

What JT said

Although I did use the orange CPVC glue, just because it's a little thicker and stays in place better while you try to remember where you put the mating piece

. I also used the purple primer. My flex PVC installation is one year old this month and I really like it. JT is also correct about holding it in place longer as it really tries to push itself back out of the fitting while wet. I cut mine with a hacksaw then deburred it with a razor. HTH.

There is a cement made for flex PVC.
I threw the can out the other day. I think it was called Wet and set or something like that.
I have used ALL PURPOSE PVC cement with good results.
Regular cement MIGHT be OK and apparently others have used it with good results......BUT........flex PVC is NOT the ssame compound as regular Shedule 40 PVC pipe. If it were it would be stiff, and not flexible.

Thanks for the replies guys. What John said is the reason I asked this question to begin with. While doing a search I noticed on RC that many people recommend Weld-On PVC 725 wet and dry. Well naturally no one locally carries this glue so I would have to MO it. I asked at Lowes (where I purchased the flex pvc) what glue was recommended for this and told them what I had read. The head of the plumbing department and I called the manufacturer of the pipe and they said that reguler pvc glue was all that was needed. I will probably be going with the orange glue that EE recommended, thanks again.

You can get it from Aquatic ecosystems online.
They are in Orlando so you would probably have it in a couple days.

-Thanks John, I think thats what I will do.
Mouse, I am having to re-do the plumbing coming off my Ampmaster pump. There is a manufacturing problem with the pump seal, all Ampmasters, and I am going to replace it. I am not happy with the original plumbing I did in the area of the pump so I am going to replace it while I have the whole mess apart.

I got my flex pvc from Aquatic ecosystems and it was real dirty.. at least the 1.5" was.. The 1" flex was clean. Savco.com sells it cheaper.
I used pvc cement, clear cleaner and clear primer.. I wanted it to be clean looking.
