I had LR with a ton of green algae. I added 5 astreas, 2 turbos, 2 blue-legs and two red legs into my 10 gallon nano. They have eaten ALL of my algae, and I need to find them food, or set them free on the reef by my house. Is there any possible way to produce a green alfae bloom? Would topping off with Spring or tap water cause a bloom? I'm having a dilemma here. I have tons of corraline algae, but that does not seem like good snail food.

Offer them seaweed sheets, or take some back to the LFS, at least you will get something back in return, not much, but still, something.

And, please don't throw it back to the ocean. Not all snails and hermits are from FL.

thank Dan!

I live across the street from the start of South Florida's reef system. I was hoping my snail and hermits would live OK here. There are pleanty of Brain, Fire, and Gorgonians here, and I'd hope they'd acclimate. I am a free diver, so it takes me a lot of time to get (and stay ) on the bottom. Would they live?

If you want some algae, send me some postage and I can mail you as much hair algae as you want/ I will pull it and freeze it and then ship it overnight to you...
