Hair Algae?

My LR is growing an off white, hairy growth in one spot. Is this anything to be alarmed about? The hairs are almost 3/4" long, and are only in one area about half the size of a dime.

I have seen sponges that are white like that. If it is growing off your live rock, there is a great chance it is something good.

When stuff I cannot necessarily identify starts growing off my live rock, I consider it a sign that things are thriving.
