My blue angel can't get enough of the stuff, but is prabably not what you want in a serious reef tank. It doesn't bother my xenia's, but the tank is completely free of any thing resembling a feather duster or sponge.

Oh they will, as soon as you stop feeding him all other foods for at least 4 days. He will start picking on the new shoots and gradually work his way down.
What type of caulerpa is it? Different species of caulerpa will make differences of who will eat it.
I pulled most of it out by hand. Then I added a sailfin tang and it all went away. I got a hair algae problem added a kole and some scarlets and that too went away.
My Desjardini Sailfin made pretty short work of the grape culerpa in my tank. All that's left is what he can't reach between rocks. I've also seen him nibbling on bubble algae, but not nearly as mich as the caulerpa. Turbo snails mowed down my hair aglae in two days.
