I recently purchased a used ETSS Gemini 750 Protein Skimmer that leaks around both of the "Downdarft Tubes" does anyone have suggestions on repair? I tried using silicone, it slowed it down but did not stop the leak. The skimmer is placed outside the sump and I cannot place it in the sump. Thanks for any help.

You bought a relatively new skimmer - used. Did you ask why the other guy was selling it? Was it because he cracked it and realized there is no way to fix it?

If he said that it worked, I would print out the ad for proof, and file a fraud complaint with ebay stating that this guy said the skimmer worked...Try to get your money back or something, Ive had some bad expierences on there too and when they recieve fraud complaints people generally start to worry and are more willing to cooperate
