If you have the loot to buy a 300gal tank, then spend the extra on a high quality skimmer like euro-reef; aerofoamer; or any other beckett driven skimmer.

on the other hand, you might be able to get a geo or coralhound reactor cheaper and they have dual chambers to help use up co2 before it returns to tank.

At first i planed to go with the aerofoamer 830 but it would cost me about $300 - $400 more than the aqua mwdic (shipping from USA to Israel is about $500 - $600 compare to $60 from Germeny ) so I decided to go with equipment from Germeny.

I run a turbo 5000 twin, and it will eat all the previously mentioned skimmers for lunch. It's a 6' tall dual pump recirculating needlewheel skimmer.. a euroreef isn't even in the same class. And since the poster is in israel, you have to consider what he can get easily.

Thank you all
I cheked shipping price to Israel for myreef creations p.s. and it came to $550 so I guess that for value to money I will go with the aquamedic even if it less efficient than aerofomer/myreef p.s. it want be a problem because
it is rated fo 1250 gal and i will use it on a 300

It's actually *more* efficient than a becket driven skimmer if you look at a cost/energy issue for running it... it only uses 130 watts plus the input pump, if you use a 3rd oceanrunner, you are looking at less than 200 watts for a monster skimmer. As far as quality of skimming.. it's 2nd to none.. don't judge these by the old turboflotor 1000's run by rios, it's not even the same animal. Think of it as a euroreef that is recirculating (MORE contact time) and on steroids... for a pretty reasonable price for it's size.
