hi malta,
Aquatic Reflections isn't a true LFS...it's a online business owned by a guy named Robert Dalton, who used to work over at Reef Science waaaaay back when they were working in conjunction with Blue Cove in San Ramon. He mostly sells online, but if you're local, you can drop by and check out what he's got. He used to run his business out of his home, but from my understanding, he just moved to a new, bigger house in Dublin (but still run out of his new home), so you might want to drop him an email at his website, www.aquatic-reflections.com Cool guy, has some really nice stuff...HTH

I also have to second what sillingw and BerlinMethod are saying about Seascapes in Mtn. View...that guy is damn prick (we all know who I'm talking about)...don't go there unless you like parting with your money and handing it over to condescending, arrogant jerks...

the last bay area reefers mtg was at my place, about 5 weeks ago, 10-12 people turned up - many thanks to the person who donated the acropora, it's thriving in my tank now, anyone want to host the next one, I have the mailing list.

Anybody know what happened to the place in SF that used to be at Noriega and about 34th? Almost no fish or equipment, but AMAZING corals... When it shut down the operator said he was moving (within the city, I think) but I can't remember where.

I remeber that place in Noriega, they did have some nice corals. I was told by them that they were selling their display tanks to buy new ones. I don't believe they ever relocated to another location.

Nope, that place on 32nd and Noriega never re-opened. NoriMuncher and trigger, you guys musta been around waaaaaay back in the day to remember that one...

that place did have some nice stuff at times...even though the owner kinda gave me hell for trying to run a reef w/o a trickle filter, and consequently tried to sell me one, along with a Sanders Piccolo skimmer...

There was also this one in the Glen Park area way back when which I don't think is open aymore either, but at the time they had some cool stuff too...only place that sold Halimeda back in 93...

If anyone remembers, too bad that one store in Blackhawk closed down (in the plaza, across the bridge, next to the rich-man car store/museum). That place was Reef Science before there was a Reef Science....

BTW, there's also one more store no one has mentioned yet, Sea Spendor out in Fairfield. It's a really small shop off North Texas St., but sometimes they have some really nice colored SPS frags and colonies for sale at some very honest prices. The best thing is that sometimes there are a good number of captive SPS' for sale that are brought in locally (Suisun? Vacaville?) from a gentleman whose name I don't recall (very nice man, BTW). Also, Evan (the reef guy there) is real cool and knowledgeable, even though these days he cares more about his quarter mile times on his TE04 turbo'd 2nd gen. Eclipse than setting up another tank...

IMO worth the long drive IF they have SPS in stock....

It's been a while since the last Bay Area Reefers get together. I'd like to do some trading and not worry about things dying in the mail.

I read earlier in the post that a place called Natural Life has moved from Belmont to San Jose. Does anyone know where this is located in San Jose?

I also have to agree with the comments about Seascapes in MTN View, the guy is a jerk. I haven't been to TNT in San Jose in a while however he looked like he was trying to move alot of livestock before it died. I constantly saw dead specimens in the tanks, haven't been back since.
