Proper tank size for Regal Blue Tang?

I have a 50 gal soft coral tank with 2 ocellaris clowns. I have an opportunity to buy a 3-4" Regal Tang (currently in a 29 gal tank, apparently healthy still after approx 1 year).

Though it seems to be doing well in a 29 gal tank, I was wondering if my 50 gal would be too small.

I appreciate any input on this.

A Regal Tang in a 29 gallon tank. There ought to be a law.
Your tank is half the sixe necessary to keep a happy tang IMO sorry.

Probably a nicer way of saying it is that your tang will outgrow your tank, so it's probably too small.
