rapid clown fish death

I recently lost 3 percula clownfish from a rapid acting disease. I noticed a slight film on one of them prior to it's demise, but other than that I had no indication anything was wrong until I saw the fish having difficulty swimming. All the other inhabitants of the tank are fine. I have 4 anemones and want to restock with some more clownfish. When will it be safe to do so?

Sounds like Brooklynelle. If you quaranteen the clowns for a few weeks and use formalin (follow directions carefully!) at the first sign of illness you should be fine.
