Thanks,
I knew that there had to be more then the same old stores, that I goto everytime. I like to compare quality and prices. Anyone else know of any?
Aquatic Warehouse gets in Good stock but they are pricey and the staff is kept busy. Once the guys get to know you they can be very helpful. James and Brian are very knowledgeable and have given me great advice. Brian also buys alot of the stock so he knows what is good and what is not.
Ron and Jared at Octopuss Garden are also very knowledgeable and will shoot you pretty straight. I usually start there due to service and prices then shop around to see what everyone else has. Ron's stock seems to be looking better lately.
Chris and Mike at Vets Pets are also really helpful. They get some good stuff in and know what works for the most part.
I am sure people have other places they prefer but hey, thats just my opinion.
Octopuss Garden Gets shipments Friday nights
AW and Chris Generally on Mondays, although Chris occasionally goes on Weds.
By the way, you should check out the SDMAS reef club. I went to the meeting the other night and they seem to be getting a bunch of cool stuff lined out. You should get with Barry and I for the next meeting.
You know harrison that jared no longer really works for ron I guess. Hard times in the fish world. Hes only there to fill in when Ron goes to LA....been over at rons alot lately
Pat is good at AW. Hes the owner and I know him well...although hes a salesman.
Ron at OG is a pretty honest guy and I like to do business with that store. I go to AW to check out corals and stuff but sometimes dont mind spending a buck or two more to buy from Ron.
I like Ron's livestock alot more and he gets a TON more local frags than AW. OG also gets a transshipment on sunday nights i believe with some regularity.
I like to deal with Ron as he has been getting in some nice SPS lately, also has AW. Chris at VP get in some nice softies and leathers but hardly ever any SPS.
Won't ever go back to Fountains as I bought 2 tanks from them and a lot of supplies and one day I was in there looking at another tank and got some few pieces of rubble for fragging and he changed me for it. Wasn't the money issue but after spending about 4,000 there and then charge me for some broken pieces of LR, give me a break.
Lol! I don't care much for fountains either, I talk to Ron at OG and he hooks me up a lot of the time, I also like Chris and Mike at VP. So there are really only about four or five places in SD then.
