I got a frag of this the other day for my 10 gallon nano. I have SL32's from CSL. Should this frag be place in direct or indirect light? Can I feed frozen brine soaed in Zoecon with a turkey baster. Anyone have care tips?

Also got some reddish brown Zoanthids. This seem to all exist as single polyps, i.e. not sharing tissue. Are these purely photosynthetic or do they need meat? I am assuming these polyps like bright, direct light. Both corals are placed high in the tank, the Trumpet is not directly under the light ( I keep eggcrate over the tank).

The Caulastrea should be fine, but if they don't fully expand then try moving up or down from the light. Mine seem to do better, appearance and growth, when I feed them a couple of times a week. You can feed them at night when their feeder tentacles are out with small meaty food.
I don't feed my zooanthids and are fine being fully photosynthetic.

I haven't fed my Caulastrea directly. I do hatch fresh brine for the tank almost daily though. I also add Phyto when I think it needs it. Mine seemed to do better when I moved it into better light and flow. The "puffed" up and looked alot healthier. I would start it kinda low and work it to where you want to keep it like with most corals. They are fairly hardy, I doubt you will have any probs.
