I have 3 Mandarin DRAGONETTES in 2 different tanks. They are often called Gobies but they are part of the Dragonnette family along with Scooters (which are frequently referred to as Blennies)

I have had my male blue/green for 2 years now. He started out in my 75 and is now in my 200. From what I can tell he only eats pods but he has been healthy and fat for the entire 2 years so I guess he is getting enough food. We have a psychodelic Mandarin in our 37 gal. seahorse tank. She picks at pods and such all day but at feeding time she lines up to get her fair share of mysis shrimp and whatever else we are feeding. She is a real pig and has earned the name "Meatball" due to her girth. We have had our third Mandarin for about a month now. She is a female blue/green who we have added to the 200 gal. as a mate for our male. You can frequently see them on rocks together just picking away. She is more of a red/green color. She has definitely fattened up since we brought her home.

Very cool fish and easy to keep as long as you have a tank with enough of a pod population to keep them well fed.
