MicroChip upgraded the UBB to version 6.10 yesterday. This version now incorporates a PHP accelerator to speed things up. As part of the upgrade process, the board software deletes the old cache, and has to rebuild it. This will mean similar issues as we had back in May when he upgraded to version 6.00 of UBB while the board rebuilds the cache.

We ask for your patience with the "Server Temporarily Unavailable" messages that will crop up for the next few days. After the cache is rebuilt, you should see a significant increase in the efficiency of the board.

Now wait a minute. Just where exactly are you passing these around? I haven't gotten even a taste yet.

Well, if it's your average US "beer" I wouldn't worry too much on missing out!

Now a nice pint of English Bitter and you're talking (not that any decent bitter comes in bottle of course, but that's splitting hair I feel!)

I'd kill for one of these:

best beer on earth IMO and the closest one to me now is 400+ miles away in DC. Used to hit the GB in Old Town Pasadena 2-3 times a week when it first opened.

You guys that prefer "non-american style" beers just need to learn to brew it yourself! An english bitter is actually one of the easiest to brew. Oops--you're in UK, so you can probably walk to the corner to get one.

Marzen style is a bit more difficult, but not a lot.

Did I mention that brewing is my other hobby? MMmmmm... beer!

for whatever reason, I would prefer an "Old Peculiar" or maybe a Young's "Old Nick"....

...but to my dismay, I have not been able to find a Young's beer in the US for over a year....aliaird...is Young's still brewing?

Thanks for our patience? That's an awfully big assumption, Chucker.
