hey guys , i have been rid of my ich for three weeks, and have also had my new damsel for two weeks, lets hope it stays that way , the spots dissappeared the next day once i put the protein skimmer on

Well Kirtis that sounds like good news. Just be aware that ich can lie dormant in the water for a long time.
Try not to introduce stress to your fish (poor water quality, overcrowding, etc), and you might want to try supplementing your food with garlic.
TO get more info on garlic, I'd suggest doing a search on "ich" and "feeding garlic." You'll get loads of info - most to do with feeding tangs, but it'll work for your fish as well.
BTW; what skimmer did you put on the 55? How much did you pay?

Kirtis, good for you. Glad to hear you are having success. Keep posting! I look forward to your posts everyday. But please, please, please learn from this lesson and DO NOT add ANYTHING to your tank for a few more weeks. (I'd wait until at least mid February.) And this includes live rock. If you are going to put in LR, make sure it is cured for 1 month in a SEPARATE tank. Otherwise I am sure that you will get flamed here.
