Got Some Local hermit crabs put in my newly
established reef tank. Have bit Of a cynano alge problem. Came back A few hours later and crabs had eaten a signifigant amount of alge. The next moring all the alge was gone.
Great! I had used some local periwinkles for cleanup duties from Mattapoisett - they did a great job initially but did not survive long-term (all were gone within 1 month). Please let us know if you have good long term survival, and if you do, how you acclimated them. I think acclimation (good, but not good enough) was what did in my snails.
