do you think that running your calcium reactor effulent through your protein skimmer can strip off the things your dissolving the media for? i'm running my effluent through my ets to scrub off the co2 but am worried that this might be counter productive. any insight please let me know.
also i need to buy some oomed or another product that will kill flat worms. i've tried all the best solutions even time but they still persist

The skimmer should not strip a significant quantity of Ca from solution. The best way to assess the skimmers effects is to test your water's values for calcium, pH, and alkaninity (all readility available). I know several hobbyist who do exactly what you do (run effluent to the skimmer) while able to maintain their calcium target values. AquaC's new skimmers actually have an input designed to accept the effluent of Ca reactors.

I'm not sure what you have tried, but I've seen the infrequently encountered Chelidonura varians (a nudibranch/sea slug) voraciously consume flat worms in a petri dish. Hobbyist have reported success in reef tanks. This is probably your best bet for biological control. If not, reports are that Oomed cause no ill effects on reef tank inhabitants. I'm always wary of chemical methods, but gauging the reports from many hobbyist, it appears reef-safe. However, I'm not sure the product is still on the market, so it may be inaccessible.
