I guess "better" is a subjective term. We use it (and sell it). It has a much higher fish and fish meal content than other brands, so it has little or no fillers like rice or wheat. This means it has a higher fatty acid content as well.
Check the label, it's made in Sitka, Alaska. Basically the waste from fish processing plants.
So, IMO it is a better flake food than most other flakes, but I don't know if this will result in any observable differences in your tank.
I don't know the phosphate content off-hand.
FWIW, Omega used to supply flake in bulk to most other manufacturers who mixed it in with their own additives and fillers. I'm pretty sure they only make their own now.
