Guys, Do yours pulse at say, 4:00am? All mine are closed by then. They pulse for several hours after the lights go out, but in the dead of night they do not. If there is any light in the room at all, though they pulse.

Mine close everal hours after the lights go out. Their most dramatic pulsing, in my case, is about 1 hour after the lights go out.

Mine not only pretty much close up, they shrink to insanely smaller sizes. My tank is overrun with this stuff and at night is the only time I can see the live rock the xenia is on. During the day it is so large and extended, I cant see anything.

!!?? Right now at 9:30 pm, lights in room/tank have been out for about a half hour. Half of the X. umbellata is closed up, X. elongata is almost all closed. There is still light from the refugium, so it is not completely dark. Most mornings before lights on, daylight does get the xenias to open and pulse.
