It happened. My well behaved peppermints have started eating snails and mini stars.
I am trying to catch them out with the cut-the-top-off-the-medium-water-bottle-and-glue-it-back-upside-down -trap, but it hasn't worked yet.

Just wanted to share my "aargh" response and see if anyone has any shrimp catching ideas?

Lefty, I have had some success with the trap you describe and some frustration. Something you may want to try is to place some food in a large net and stand the net handle up against the side of the aquarium glass. My Peps come out in the open at tank feeding time and will walk into the net to get the food.

Thanks Steve, but nevermind. Woke up the morning and all three of them were in the trap. Whoo hoo!

Might wanna feed them more often and they aren't likely do such things.

They were fed a buttload all the time. Really. I used to believe feeding would keep them happy, but they started tast testing stuff in the tank after almost 2 years.

I no longer believe that opportunistic predators can be kept in check by good feeding. Sometimes they want to snack.
