hi.
The white PVC tub is the pressure vessle (vessel?) for the RO membrane. There shoul be a shut off valve between this and the water supply, did you check that? I feel that the best thing for you to do is to call people at SP. They are all awfully nice, professional people that will help you thru this problem.

When was the last time you replaced your prefilters?

I recall last May. I haven't had a chance to pick up replacements. But the problem isn't the cartridges. The water flow stops after the membrane.

BTW- what is the tfc membrane?

Something happened to my RO/DI unit a few days ago. Its not producing water anymore. I checked all the hoses for process of elimination and found the water to stop at the white pvc tube that's located on top (technical term?). Is this something normal after a couple years of usage? Do I need to replace or flush? I've been using this unit for 2 years non stop. It is a 15gpd model. Please help. The water reserve is running low.
